My name is Robert F. Jacobs. I am the proud son of public school teachers who taught me the value of education and fighting for justice. I became an attorney because I believe in the founding principle that all people are created equal. For over 21 years as an attorney, I have represented thousands of residents of Los Angeles County of all races, ages, socioeconomic backgrounds and political affiliations. Throughout my career, I have gained the respect and endorsement of judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, and opposing counsel because I am highly ethical, hardworking, fair, and an effective legal advocate. I have a deep personal understanding of what it means to serve the public and the importance of equal access to justice and due process for all.
My wife and I are raising two wonderful young children. I have made it a priority to instill in our children the value of empowering our communities through public service. For years, my children have seen my collaboration with others to help improve and strengthen our communities. Since 2003, I have been an active member of the Downey Kiwanis Club working on service projects with Habitat for Humanity, La Casita Homeless Shelter and the TLC Family Resource Center. I have also provided pro bono legal services for years through legal fairs sponsored by the Mexican American Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
If elected to serve as Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court, I am committed to ensuring that every person who comes before the court receives justice and is treated fairly and with dignity.
